Whatever God spoke to his chosen men of old, He repeats the same to us as His choice children in His word. Joshua believed and so led the children of Israel to their inheritance. If we believe God, then we can dare dream the unthinkable and reach for the impossible. That is what Mary and I did for the new year. THE SOLES OF OUR FEET TREADED ON RAY'S farm and believed to receive it for the glory of God. We made him an offer and he accepted. All he wants from us is $280,000 for the whole piece of land with all the developments there in. To Mary and I, This is not an opportunity to enrich our selves, but one to bring our brethren together into the first step of owning many more lands being released by others who believed in owning everything for themselves and their children. The scripture teaches us that where there is unity God will command a blessing. We are stronger as a united body of believers than we could be as individual families or individuals Psalms 133:1-3. | Below, is the Land plan of the piece of land upon which the center will be established. It measures 24.24 acres. It is located 1.3 miles off Interstate 35 and about 9 miles from downtown Waco in State of Texas. A newly built road runs the whole length of the property front, giving it best accessibility from every direction. All the major colleges in Waco are found within a radius of 15 miles from the property. WHAT WE PLAN ON DOING WITH THE LAND The center will be the property of the investors operating for profit. It will be designed to provide both a recreational and retreat atmosphere for Christian families, groups and individuals who will pay for services provided. To that end, we will have accommodation for couples, singles and children of different ages. We plan on having a golf course for kids and their parents as part of joint recreation. The center will grow most of its fresh food products and buy any extras from neighboring farming community as to serve good international dishes. The Kenyan community will use this facility to import foodstuff ingredients they struggle to find in Indian shops. Goats and beef cattle will be reared in one part of the land to help supply demand for fresh meats appetites by Kenya community. It should be possible for a Kenyan having party in Dallas or Houston to call the center and ask to be shipped freshly cut beef, goats or chicken and receive it the following morning! REHABILITATION AND COUNSELING CENTER FOR KENYAN YOUTH Many parents of Kenya origin in America today have to deal with monstrous children whom they brought into this country at tender and innocent age. The cultural influence in this country has unfortunately impacted them very negatively. The center will provide a home grown environment for restoration of such victims. A hands on workshop and many other activities will keep such kids busy during school breaks. |
| Below, is a plan for the main existing homestead. It was designed to accommodate a family. It is a three bed roomed house but with a number of extension spaces which gives the house great potential for expansion initially with at a minimum cost to provide accommodation for up to twelve couples with their children who will be accommodated in a dormitory arrangement. It has a functioning swimming pool for all ages surrounded by a beautiful redwood deck. |
| Below, the contour map below will help to show that the land is well drained towards the north, draining most of the waters into the creek which marks most of the western and northern borders of the property. The land is safe from flooding waters due to the presence of the creek. The natural vegetation along the creek makes the land a beautiful piece of land with a country touch for retreat. |
